Jacqueline holds a BFA in Fine Art: Studio Art with a focus on Drawing and Painting, alongside minors in Psychology and Metalsmithing from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, where they graduated Cum Laude. Their journey through art continued at Studio Incamminati and the New York Academy of Art, where they earned a Certificate in Fine Arts and participated in the Summer Undergraduate Residency Program. These experiences refined their craft and deepened their exploration of symbolism, storytelling, and the interplay of conscious and subconscious realms.
Statement
Jacquelyn's artistic practice revolves around the boundaries of time as viewed through the prism of dreams. Time appears linear in waking life—a relentless forward motion shaping physical reality—but within dreams, time loops, expands, and dissolves, creating a limitless diorama where the unconscious accesses and manifests deeper meanings. This tension between the linear and the infinite guides Jacque’s exploration of duality, a theme central to both their art and their identity. Inspired by Jungian philosophy, Jacquelyn delves into the dualities that define human experience: masculine and feminine, conscious and unconscious, tangible and ethereal. These dualities mirror the alchemical dance of opposites; Dreams, which are often almost entirely obscured by symbolistic gestures and demonstrations, instruct and guide Jacque’s artistic process, urging the artist to accept the inextricable linkage between creation and destruction, growth and renewal. In translating the aesthetics of dreams into visual/tangible form, Jacquelyn’s process attempts to mimic that of the unconscious mind during sleep. Similarly, their works require audiences to circumvent the ego and glimpse their divine essence. Each painting, then, acts as a portal into the unconscious—a space where personal and universal truths emerge. Jacquelyn endeavors to catalyze audience's exploration of their own unconscious minds, to see dreams as pathways to enlightenment, and to embrace their innate divinity.
